Kong: Skull Island

Armed with the rights to Kong and with Godzilla's rights on lease, Legendary and WB were foaming at the mouth to bring the two characters back together on screen. In order to bring Kong into the universe, they gave him this standalone film, which throws audiences back into the Vietnam War era with Apocalypse Now references aplenty. But does this film hold a candle to the classic war movies it's aping? Or are audiences better off skipping to the film where Godzilla and Kong are throwing punches at each other? Listen and find out!

King Kong (2005)

After completing the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Peter Jackson decided to remake King Kong, and of course in classic Jackson fashion, it's three hours long! In this week's episode, we review the original Clash of the Titans, in which Perseus must go on a journey to obtain the head of Medusa in order to defeat the Kraken! Or does this film's effects pale in comparison to other blockbusters of the time such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones? Listen and find out!
